Maya Papaya CSA

What is a CSA?

CSA is Community Supported Agriculture. Over the last 20 years, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) has become a popular way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from the farmers who grow it. CSAs bring fresh, organic produce to those who wish to both support local agriculture, but also want to enjoy the taste and health benefits of fresh-that-day fruits and vegetables.

Local farms harvest their produce and provide shares to those who sign up, bringing fresh vegetables directly from farm to table. Support local agriculture and the people who devote their lives to farming, while bringing fresh, crisp produce to your kitchen for a difference you can truly taste.

A share from our CSA will provide you with fresh produce from organic farms in Vermont. We deliver a box of vegetables and/or fruit once a week, containing whatever is ripe and freshly picked that very day. Your big grocery store can’t get the food to you that quickly, but we can, for a difference you can truly taste. From crisp lettuce to juicy ripe tomatoes and so much more, you’ll have the benefit not only of freshness, but of knowing precisely where your food has come from: Vermont!

How it Works

Maya Papaya CSA offers a certain number of “shares” each year. A share is like a membership or subscription, in which your return is a delivery of fruits and vegetables each week.  The share consists of a box of fruits and vegetables delivered once a week for 20 weeks from early June to mid October.

When is it Delivered?

Deliveries arrive once a week for 20 weeks on every Tuesday from June 8th – October 19th.

What is the Cost?

$400.00 Per share picked up at one of our drop locations.
$50 additional per share for home delivery.

Our History

We’ve been seeking out farm-fresh produce ourselves for years, convincing a Vermont farm to bring a special share just for us to a local farmer’s market. Over time, family and friends started asking us to bring them Vermont produce as well, adding share on top of share. Eventually we realized we had a great opportunity to not only help expand the reach of great Vermont farmers, but to bring the fresh, local fruits and vegetables we love to others who might love them too.

Farms

Maya Papaya CSA collects, boxes, and delivers produce from the following Vermont farms:
Tunbridge Hill Farm, Cedar Circles Farm, Sunshine Berry Farm, and Springmore Farm

What will I get?

Variety is the spice of life, and that is just what you will get. Early in the season, you will see a lot of fresh greens. As the summer progresses you might get peas, beans, potatoes, herbs, tomatoes, onions and more. As the season comes to a close, you’ll find your share filled with pumpkins and squash: perfect for fall. All your produce is rinsed, packed and delivered the same day it is picked!

How do I get it?

Maya Papaya CSA delivers all our shares to gyms and health clubs located in your neighborhood. To pick up your weekly box of plenty, just swing by and pick it up at your convenience!
